Taiaha. Patu. Pouwhenua. These were the first prints I ever put out that people actually wanted.

I'd just got my iPad and I went hard. Tried to draw everything, tried to learn all of it. This is what came out of moving what I could do on paper onto a screen.

Tools, not weapons. That's the whole thing. A taiaha, a patu, a pouwhenua — those are what let me keep going. I lost hold of that for a while. I'm back in it now, and people still have these up in their houses and their studios, so they're coming back too.

You've got everything you need in your hands. Go and do what you want to do.

They were made as three. This is how they're meant to hang.
